Textbook Options

January 5, 2010

It’s not uncommon to have students requesting textbooks from our stacks or as Interlibrary Loans so as to find a way around investing in new books of their own. Unfortunately, we don’t usually have them and, when we do, it’s more often than not a happy coincidence. Interlibrary Loans are not a real option and to use them as such is an abuse of what is intended as a short term, supplimentary resource for research purposes. There are several other alternatives though such as buying used books and new online textbook subscription services as well as discount book dealers. The availability of specific textbooks will vary but you may want to check these resources out. Good luck!
